In early spring 2021, Jungle Juice Bar was looking for an interim CFO to cover an urgent resource need during a transition period. At the same time, the company wanted to develop its financial processes, but the necessary resources were not available internally. Jungle Juice Bar contacted Marko Järvelin and together they developed a pragmatic solution by choosing NIS Northern Interim Services as a partner.

NIS appointed Nina Norberg as interim CFO for Jungle Juice Bar. Nina was able to quickly step into the role and ensure continuity in both operations and reporting. Starting in the middle of the preparation of the annual accounts also proved to be no problem.

With Nina's support, Jungle Juice Bar's finance department was able to work stably throughout the transition period, while the financial processes and forecasting models were developed to the next level. The improvements included cash flow forecasts, performance monitoring and the development of a reporting package for the board. To ensure a smooth handover to the new CFO, NIS also assisted in the recruitment process and with onboarding.

When the CEO of Jungle Juice Bar, Elli Holappa, was asked about the implementation of the project and any development ideas, she replied: “I am actually 130% satisfied, so you will not get any improvement suggestions from me.” In addition to the professional competence, the cultural compatibility between NIS and Jungle Juice Bar was an important success factor.
