Musti Group is the leading pet company in the Nordic region, operating in Sweden under the retail name Arken Zoo, in Finland as Musti & Mirri and in Norway simply as Musti. In 2022, Musti Group’s total turnover in the Nordic region amounted to almost EUR 400 million.

In the spring of 2022, the company’s finance function found itself in a difficult situation due to organizational changes. Musti Group identified the need for an external accounting expert to ensure that the finance function continued to function smoothly during a period that included both recruitment processes and financial statements.

NIS was able to quickly and flexibly provide the services of NIS consultant Janne Turpeinen to support Musti Group. As a specialist in external accounting and bookkeeping, he seamlessly integrated into the company and ensured uninterrupted continuity in accounting. The assignment for Musti Group is a good example of how effective the use of interim resources can be when it works best. The right expert was identified quickly and the work could start immediately. It would have been difficult to reallocate resources internally within the company on such a tight timeframe to meet the needs of the finance team.
